Srinagar, Aug 08: National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Balki (RA) to be observed at his revered Shrine at Pakharpora in central Kashmir.In his message, Dr Farooq highlighted the timeless teachings of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Balki (RA), who dedicated his life to spreading the message of love, compassion, and spiritual enlightenment. He said the saint’s legacy continues to guide generations toward the path of peace and human dignity.”On this blessed occasion, I pray for lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Let us draw inspiration from the noble teachings of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Balki (RA) and strive to build a just, tolerant, and compassionate society,” he said.The NC chief urged the youth to connect with the spiritual and cultural heritage of the region, emphasising that the teachings of Sufi saints like Hazrat Syed Balki (RA) remain ever-relevant in today’s fast-changing world.Among others, the party’s General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Addl GS Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Senior leader Abdul Rahim Rather, Provincial President Showkat Mir, Party’s Central Zone functionaries from YNC and parent body have also greeted people on the annual Urs, praying that the auspicious occasion augurs well for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
