DPS Srinagar Student Wins Silver at Inter-District U19 Taekwondo Championship

Srinagar, Aug 30: Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar proudly announced that Mohammad Rafan Bhat, a Class 12 student, secured a silver medal at the Inter-District Provincial Level U19 Boys Taekwondo Championship, held on August 24. His achievement reinforces DPS Srinagar’s reputation for excellence in both academics and sports.As per a statement issued here, Mohammad Rafan Bhat displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament, earning second place in a highly competitive field. His success reflects both his relentless training and the comprehensive sports programmes provided by the school. Commenting on the achievement, DPS Srinagar Chairman Vijay Dhar said, “We are immensely proud of Muhammad Rafan Bhat for his remarkable performance. His success underscores our philosophy that true education extends beyond the classroom, nurturing well-rounded individuals who excel in all areas of life. This medal is a brilliant example of the dedication and hard work we encourage in all our students.”  Principal Shafaq Afshan added, “Mohammad Rafan Bhat’s silver medal is a well-deserved recognition of his talent and perseverance. Balancing his Taekwondo training with academic commitments, he is an inspiration to his peers. This accomplishment highlights the vital role sports play in shaping character and instilling discipline, and we could not be happier for him.” DPS Srinagar extended heartfelt congratulations to Mohammad Rafan Bhat, noting that his achievement serves as an inspiration to all students, demonstrating the importance of discipline, dedication, and perseverance in reaching one’s goals. The school reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing talent across diverse fields, empowering students to excel both inside and outside the classroom.
