In the wake of recent unfounded claims made by Omar Abdullah, Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) spokesperson, Advocate Mohammad Saleem Parray, appealed for a more thoughtful and evidence-based approach to political discussions on Thursday.
In a released statement, Advocate Parray emphasized the need for introspection before leveling accusations against esteemed politicians like GN Azad. He urged Omar Abdullah to refrain from fabricating stories and focus on a more constructive political discourse. Expressing the party’s dismay, Parray called Abdullah’s accusations against DPAP Chairman Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad both fabricated and frivolous.
Challenging the National Conference leadership and others who leverage baseless claims for political gain, Parray asserted, “It clearly indicates that NC and other political parties are feeling the impact of DPAP’s growing popularity.
Parray questioned the National Conference’s achievements, particularly noting their failure to cultivate a public-friendly image despite alliances over the last seven decades.
Expanding on the matter, Parray queried, “Can the National Conference provide answers regarding the cricket scam, the mysterious death of their worker Mohd Yousuf Shah, and the use of POTA, PSA, TADA, and Task Force to suppress unarmed Kashmiris?”
Offering advice to Omar Abdullah and his counterparts, DPAP’s spokesperson said, “While talking big is easy, meeting the expectations of the common masses is a substantial challenge.” Parray concluded with a piece of advice, “DPAP advises prudence, urging Mr. Omar Abdullah to think before he speaks and to consider the consequences before making political leaps, lest they find themselves with self-inflicted political injuries.”
