Srinagar,Sep 28: Doon International School hosts Doon’s Inter-School Quiz Competition on Wednesday and students from many other schools participated.
The word competition was just a catalyst to boost the memory and timely response enzymes of all the participating teams- DPS Budgam, DPS Srinagar, Army Public School, Mallinson, Tyndale Biscoe, Kashmir Harvard, Kashmir Valley, Green Valley, and o, Doon International School, Srinagar.
The Chairman, Showkat Hussain Khan, encouraged the participants from all the schools and invoked amongst them the desire to accumulate knowledge and information and disperse it judiciously.
The three major guests of the day were Tariq Ahmad, eminent educationist, madam Asiya Nazeer, the professor of English at Baramulla College, the renowned Radio Jockey of 95.0 Tadka FM, RJ Mursal. These guests in their address passed on valuable advice to the eager audience.
Mehfooz Aslam, Director, Wilmot Wing of Doon International School was the guest quiz master, along with two quiz mistresses from the school staff.
The results of the Inter-School Quiz were: Mallinson Girls School lifted the trophy, followed by DPS Budgam as first Runner’s up and Doon International School finished the second runner’s-up.
