Ganderbal, Aug 25: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee to discuss and approve cases under Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) and Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS) in the district.According to a statement issued here, after detailed scrutiny, the committee approved 42 cases under JKCIP pertaining to Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries department, besides 370 cases were approved under ISDS of Sheep Husbandry department. On the occasion, the DC directed all implementing departments to ensure transparent and time-bound execution of the approved projects and to maintain close coordination with beneficiaries for effective monitoring and desired outcomes as envisaged under these schemes. Meanwhile, the DC also reviewed the functioning of KKGs in the district and directed the Chief Agriculture Officer to ensure all KKGs are functional in the district and their daily reporting be ensured for better monitoring. The DC directed the concerned departments to take proactive measures to bridge any deficiencies and ensure maximum acceptance of applications and wider farmer coverage under these schemes.
