Srinagar, April 23: In a deeply emotional and solemn gathering, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Director Sericulture J&K, Wednesday led the observance of two minutes of silence to mourn and express solidarity with the families of the innocent victims who lost their lives in the recent inhuman, heinous and barbaric attack at Pahalgam.
A statement issued here said that the tribute was paid at the meeting hall of the Directorate of Sericulture, Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar, where all officers and officials of the department stood united, with heavy hearts and tears in their eyes, to honour the departed souls and condemn the senseless act of violence. Addressing the gathering, Director Sericulture J&K, expressed profound grief over the tragic incident and reaffirmed the department’s collective condemnation of such brutal attacks that threaten the fabric of peace and humanity in the region. He emphasized the importance of standing together in these testing times and prayed for strength and courage to the bereaved families. In a show of collective mourning, two minutes of silence were also observed simultaneously at all departmental establishments across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, symbolising a unified front in grief and solidarity against acts of terror. The Sericulture Development Department of J&K expresses its heartfelt condolences to the affected families and stands in unwavering support during this moment of sorrow.
