Srinagar, Aug 27: Director SKIMS & EOSG, Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, today chaired a high-level review meeting with all heads of hospital service areas to assess preparedness in view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions.
According to a statement issued here, Prof. Ganie directed the heads of various service areas to remain on high alert and ensure the availability of designated staff from Emergency, Engineering Wing, Security, and Critical Patient Care Services within the hospital premises, so that uninterrupted functioning of essential services is maintained. He stressed that all support services must work in close coordination with the SKIMS Control Room for seamless operations in case of any emergency situation.During the meeting, the Additional Director SKIMS, Medical Superintendent, HOD Hospital Administration, Incharge Engineering Wing, Incharge IT, and Incharge Security briefed the Director about the preparedness measures and backup plans in place to meet any eventuality.
The Director also instructed the Principal, SKIMS Medical College, to furnish details of any requirements for better facilitation and coordination, should the need arise. He reiterated that SKIMS, being the premier tertiary care centre of J&K, serves as the nerve centre during any disaster situation and will continue to remain at the forefront of emergency response.
