Deputy Commissioner Reasi reviews arrangements for festival season

Reasi, Oct 18: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan chaired a high-level meeting here today to review arrangements for the upcoming festive season, including Diwali. Key areas of focus included uninterrupted power supply and consistent water availability.
The DC instructed enforcement agencies to constitute special market checking team to oversee the quality, quantity, and pricing of goods, with focus on sweets and gift shops to keep check on overcharging. The police were instructed to take strict measures to prevent drunk driving to ensure public safety.
Fire and Emergency Department was directed to stay on high alert, while asking for restricting the firecracker sales in non-crowded areas. The meeting decided to deploy Apda Mitra volunteers at the tehsil level to ensure prompt emergency response. Cleanliness, illumination of temples, and public spaces was prioritized.
ADDC Sukhdev Samyal, ADC Kulbushan Khajuria, ACR Anshumali Sharma, ACD Pardeep kumar, Tehsildar Suresh singh and Mehak Mahajan, DIO info Ujwal Sambyal and other officials attended the meeting.
