Reasi, Aug 23: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Nidhi Malik today chaired a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee to review the implementation and progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and to track the outputs of units established under the scheme.As per a statement issued here, the DDC approved 649 cases under HADP and 22 cases under the JKCIP (Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project in Jammu and Kashmir).The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure timely implementation of the sanctioned cases and emphasized the need for close monitoring of each sector to achieve tangible outcomes on the ground. She stressed expediting the tracking and documentation of progress so that the benefits of these schemes effectively reach the beneficiaries.The DDC further called upon the departments to achieve the set targets and ensure maximum coverage of farmers and agri-entrepreneurs under HADP. She urged all line departments to work in coordination and adopt a proactive approach for the successful execution of the programme.The DDC also held discussions on strategies for strengthening agriculture and allied sectors, enhancing farmers’ income, and ensuring sustainable rural development in Reasi district.
