DC Shopian reviews arrangements for JKSSB’s Panchayat Secretary Exam

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today chaired a meeting of head of institutions, Centre Superintendents and concerned Officers at Conference Hall of DC Office here to finalize the preparations for JKSSB’s OMR based written examination of Panchayat Secretary, scheduled to be held on 10th of December in the district.

During the meeting, it was informed that around 4270 candidates are expected to appear in the written examination at 13 centers across the District. For the smooth, free and fair conduct of examinations, 13 Magistrates, Observers,  Superintendents each and 1 Dy.Superintendent have been deployed in the district.

Deliberations in the meeting focused on roles, responsibilities and coordination of manpower, meticulous arrangement of basic facilities, especially heating arrangements keeping in view the cold conditions, elaborate security arrangements, logistics for transportation, safekeeping of examination materials and efficient traffic management.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that fair and transparent exams are the top most priority of the district administration.

He directed installation of CCTVs in control rooms of the educational institutions of the district where these SSB exams are scheduled to be conducted along with videography of exams.

The meeting was apprised that the police department was directed to ensure adequate deployment of Police personnel for escort of examination material and for proper frisking.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; Principal, IMGDC  Shopian, Prof. Mohammad Shafiq; Chief Education Officer, Shopian, Mohammad Shabir; Administrative Officer, JKSSB, Javid Ahmed; Superintendents, Head of institutions and other concerned were present in the meeting.
