DC Sgr reviews sector wise progress of Dev works under Capex Plan 2024-25

Srinagar, Dec 13: In order to take first-hand appraisal about physical and financial status of the works taken up under District Capex Plan 2024-25 in the District, a meeting of all Sectoral, District Officers was Friday held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat in Srinagar.
A statement issued here said that at the outset, the DC took a detailed review of funds released and expenditure incurred under R&B, PHE, Education, Health, RDD, PDD, I&FC and other sectors, besides progress of works taken up were also reviewed in detail.
“The DC after taking sector wise review of all works directed the Officers to ensure 100 percent expenditure in the set time lines by accelerating the pace of the works scheduled for completion during the current year,” the statement said. “Dr. Bilal stressed on achieving the physical/ financial target of total allocated funds/ works taken up for the current fiscal by December 31.”
The statement said that the DC directed the officers of the departments to expedite expenditure bookings and accelerate the pace of developmental works by ensuring quality. “He stressed optimal fund utilization for the current financial year, urging officers to mobilize manpower and machinery for timely project completion,” it said, adding that “He also instructed officers to promptly book maximum expenditure for ongoing works.”
The statement said that the DC directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line Departments to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season. He asked all the line departments to ensure timely submission of works bills to concerned Treasuries.
Besides, Chief Planning Officer, the meeting was attended by District/Sectoral Officers, Engineers of all line Departments and other concerned.
