Ganderbal, Aug 04: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Monday chaired a comprehensive meeting to review the implementation of various schemes pertaining to agriculture and allied sectors in the district. The DC fixed department-wise targets for schemes with low progress and asked the officers to achieve set targets.In a statement issued here, the meeting focused on assessing the progress under key schemes including the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), KCC, and farmer registration on digital platforms like Kisan Sathi and Daksh Kisan. The functioning and operational status of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) was also extensively reviewed.Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Ganderbal briefed the chair about the status of KKGs, particularly their registration on the CSC portal and the creation of login credentials to enhance service delivery.While reviewing the overall implementation status, DC fixed department-wise targets for schemes that showed low progress and directed the concerned officers to achieve the set targets within the next three days. He stressed timely execution and real-time progress tracking. Emphasising the importance of digital integration, DC also instructed all departments to ensure regular updates on Kisan Sathi, Daksh Kisan, and other relevant portals, to improve district ranking metrics and enable efficient monitoring. Regarding the distribution of KCC Smart Cards, DC directed the Lead District Manager (LDM) to ensure immediate distribution of the received smart cards to the intended beneficiaries. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Syed Fahim Bihaqi, Chief Agriculture Officer; District Sheep Husbandry Officer; Assistant Director Fisheries; District Sericulture Officer; LDM and other concerned officials.
