In a significant move towards the development of agriculture in the frontier Kupwara district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Friday chaired the District Level Committee (DLC) meeting on Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP).
At the outset, the DC took brief on the headway achieved in projects being covered across the district by Agriculture and allied departments, under HADP.
The meeting also conducted a draw-of-lots for selection of applications received under different components including establishment of Nursery for Kashmiri Lal Mirchi, Diversification of Niche Crops (Kashmiri Lal Mirchi), Hi-tech Polygreen Houses, Low cost Polygreen Houses, Bee Colonies, strengthening of existing Bee Keeping units, Beekeeping equipment manufacturing, establishment of facilitation centres for migratory beekeepers, Millet Restaurant, Brush cutter, Battery operated Sprayer, Power Tiller, Maize Sheller, Tractor Mounted sprayer, mushroom sheds, improved crop sheds, vegetable seeds, vermicompost units, Spawn of Mushroom, Beehive with colonies, roof top rain water harvesting structures, Deep Borewell, Low cost vermicompost units and other components.
