Kishtwar, Sep 06: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma conducted an extensive inspection of Kishtwar to Thathri stretch of NH-244 to review its condition, the pace of the ongoing maintenance works and traffic management arrangements.
As per a statement issued here, the DC was accompanied by SSP, Naresh Singh along with other senior officers. During the visit, the DC inspected vulnerable spots and directed the concerned departments to ensure timely repairs, removal of debris and smooth flow of traffic. He stressed strict adherence to safety measures, especially at landslide-prone and accident-prone locations and instructed to minimize risks. The DC also issued necessary directions to the NHIDCL authorities for proper upkeep and regular maintenance of the road. The Head of Project (HOP) Rattle HEP Drabshalla apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the current status of the reconstruction work on the bridge at Project Site that was washed away in the recent flood. The Deputy Commissioner directed the HOP to expedite the construction of the bridge and mobilize all necessary resources to ensure its completion in a time-bound manner.
