Ganderbal, Feb 14: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Friday took a surprise in-spection of District Hospital (DH) Ganderbal to inspect its functioning and facilities being provided to the patients there.
The DC took round of various sections like emergency ward, IPD, XRAY unit, General medicine, Gyne ward and laboratory.
He interacted with the patients admitted in different wards besides enquiring about health care facil-ities and availability of medical staff there.
The DC directed the hospital authorities to ensure availability of medical staff for attending patients efficiently and ensuring proper medical attention is given to each patient.
He also stressed for proper segregation of bio medical waste and maintaining cleanliness in and around the hospital premises.
DC reviews functioning of Municipal Council Gbl
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, who is also Administrator of Municipal Council Ganderbal, convened a meeting to review the functioning of the Municipal council Ganderbal here Friday.
The meeting was conducted to evaluate the operational efficiency and performance of the Municipal Council. Executive Officer, Municipal Council gave a detailed overview of ongoing projects, adminis-trative processes, town profile, and other key initiatives undertaken by the Municipal Council.
The DC gave necessary instructions on enhancing civic amenities, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring streamlined governance for the benefit of locals.
The DC emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts and transparent communication to fur-ther enhance the impact of municipal services.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, Executive En-gineers of PMGSY, R&B and KPDCL besides, staff of various sections of the council.
Later, the DC took an extensive tour of Ganderbal Town and inspected various ongoing development works including marriage hall at Duderhama, Clock Tower and Amphitheater in Ganderbal town, Bus Yard as well as Children Park and Open Gym behind bus yard. During inspection, the DC gave neces-sary instructions to the Executive Engineer R&B to expedite the progress of work so that all works get completed in stipulated time frame. During the visit, the DC was accompanied by EO Municipal Council, Executive Engineer R&B, AEE R&B and other officials of Municipal Council Ganderbal.
