Poonch, Aug 20: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Rent Assessment Committee (RAC) in the Meeting Hall, DC Office Complex to review and finalize the rent for government departments operating from private accommodations.A statement issued here during the meeting, detailed discussions were held with concerned departments and private building owners regarding the rent cases. Several cases were taken up for consideration, out of which many were approved, while some were deferred pending further clarification. The Deputy Commissioner directed all building owners to ensure title verification of their properties through their respective Tehsildars, stating that no rent payment will be made without proper title verification. The DDC emphasized timely resolution of rent cases and transparent procedures to ensure smooth functioning of government offices operating in rented accommodations.
