DC Budgam lays foundation of blood component separator unit

Budgam, Dec 14: Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo of Budgam on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the Blood Component Separator Unit at District Hospital Budgam.
He also dedicated the Modern Dental Chair Paediatric facility for the benefit of children.
During his visit, Labroo also assessed the progress of the Oxygen plant installation room and the completion of the Gate and Fencing construction projects.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner of Budgam said that the District Administration Budgam under a focused manner has been optimising resources and ensuring upgradation of healthcare assets and facilities in a short span of time in Budgam.
“The Blood Component Separator Unit will improve patient care and fulfill the requirements for blood platelets, RBCs, and specific blood supply for patients at District Hospital,” Labroo said.
He said that the construction of Oxygen plant which is likely to be completed within two week’s time shall ensure uninterrupted oxygen supply to all ICU facilities and needy patients in other wards
He emphasized the importance of completing all ongoing health projects within the designated time frame to benefit the general public as soon as possible.
Labroo said that in order to ensure 100 percent screening of the general public at their doorsteps, the district administration has also been conducting health screening and medical camps in all blocks and screen public for various ailments including flu, anemia, TB and other viral infections.
