Budgam, June 20: After assuming charge as the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat today chaired an introductory sectoral meeting with all district and sectoral officers to take stock of ongoing developmental works and governance mechanisms across the district.
In a comprehensive sector-wise review, DC held threadbare discussions on departmental performance, project progress, and implementation status of key government schemes. He directed all executing agencies to strictly adhere to the set timelines for completion of projects and ensure quality standards are met.
Underscoring the significance of community involvement, DC said that public participation and Jan Bhagidari in both planning and implementation of developmental initiatives is vital for achieving inclusive progress. He directed that all eligible beneficiaries must receive benefits under government schemes within the stipulated timelines.
Dr Bilal stressed the need for real-time monitoring and regular structural reviews of major infrastructure projects to eliminate delays and bottlenecks.
DC directed concerned officers to ensure delivery of all online services within the timeframe specified under the Public Services Guarantee Act.
DC called upon officers to uphold transparency, accountability, and integrity in their official conduct, emphasizing that public trust is the cornerstone of good governance.
