CUK launches Capacity-Building training under Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva programme

Ganderbal, Aug 25: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) started a series of capacity-building training sessions for all its teaching and administrative employees under the Rashtriya Karmayogi–Large Scale Jan Seva Programme (RK-LSJSP), an initiative of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India, at Tulmulla here Monday.As per a statement issued here, the sessions, to be conducted batchwise (seven batches till 8th of September, 225), aim to enhance institutional efficiency, professional competence, and citizen-centric service delivery. Addressing the first session, Dean Academic Affairs, and I/c Registrar, Prof. Shahid Rasool, extended his wishes to the trainers and participants, emphasising that capacity building was central to the university’s mission of academic excellence and effective governance.Underscoring the role of both teaching and administrative staff in shaping the roadmap for a developed India by 2047, Prof. Shahid said, “The teaching fraternity holds the responsibility of nurturing future leaders, innovators, and socially responsible citizens. Through quality education, research, and mentorship, they prepare students to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth trajectory. The administrative staff strengthen the university through efficient management of assets, infrastructure, technology, and student services, thereby complementing the academic mission.”He observed that the collective dedication of university staff fosters integrity, inclusivity, and self-reliance—values that resonate with the vision of Viksit Bharat. “By working with commitment and synergy, CUKashmir along with other universities can become catalysts in realising the dream of a developed India by 2047 as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister  Narendra Modi,” he added. He said that such initiatives were the brainchild of Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A Ravinder Nath, and were crucial in shaping CUKashmir into a future-ready institution aligned with national priorities. The training is being conducted by Dr. Javid Ahmad Wani, Deputy Registrar (Planning & Development), and Abdul Rashid Bhat, Deputy Registrar (Administration), who have been empanelled as Master Trainers by the Capacity Building Commission. In their address, they said that by embedding efficiency, empathy, and innovation into administrative and academic processes, the training seeks to translate the vision of transparent and accountable governance into practice within the university ecosystem.
