Ganderbal, Mar 26: The Code Squad, in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Club at the Department of Information Technology, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), hosted “Cyber Concave 2025,” a technology event aimed at fostering cybersecurity awareness and hands-on learning, on March 25-26.
The event brought together students, faculty, and industry experts through technical lectures, interactive sessions, and competitions focused on cybersecurity and related domains.
In his address, Coordinator, Dr. Yash Paul, emphasized the growing significance of cybersecurity and the need for students to develop expertise in the field. The inaugural session featured lectures by: Er. Akeel Ajaz Malik on “Cybersecurity Essentials: Threats, Defense, and Future Trends”, Er. Mubarak Ahmad on “Shaping the Future of Personal and Enterprise Network Security”. These sessions provided participants with a strong foundation in cybersecurity challenges and emerging technologies.
The event also featured a series of competitive and skill-enhancing activities, including: Debugging Competition, Treasure Hunt, and Mock Interview (held on March 25) and Quiz Competition, Logo Designing Contest, and BGMI Tournament (held on March 26).
The students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their technical acumen and problem-solving abilities.
The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where Prof. Mohammad Yousuf, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, honored the winners and recognized the contributions of participants, faculty, and organizers. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Najar delivered the vote of thanks.
The department extended its appreciation to Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, and Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar for their support in organizing the event.
Faculty members, Er. Afaq Alam and Dr. Shahid Sultan, along with contractual and guest faculty, also contributed significantly to the success of Cyber Concave 2025.
