Ganderbal, Sep 08: Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta continued the ‘Bhrastachar Mukt J&K ‘ campaign by engaging in a video conference with four Block PRI members from Kashmir to address their concerns.
During this virtual meeting, the attendees included PRI members from Tehsil Gund, Sarpanch Gund A and B, BDC Gund, and the chairman of Seoul Society Gund Tehsil. Officials from the Rural Development and Revenue departments along with Local People were also present.
The Chief Secretary encouraged all participants to openly discuss the issues related to corruption, emphasizing the need to eradicate this evil from the system effectively. He urged the general public to come forward with their suggestions or complaints regarding any instances of corruption they may have encountered. Dr Mehta assured them that reporting corruption wouldn’t lead to any repercussions, as the law would take its course impartially.
During the conference, the Chairman of Civil Society Gund Tehsil expressed gratitude to the LG administration Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Dr Mehta for addressing a long-standing demand from the Tehsil Gund community, which pertained to the R&B sub-division. He pledged the community’s unwavering support in the fight against corruption.
Additionally, he sought the Chief Secretary’s assistance in initiating the construction of a new building of PHC Kullan and obtaining approval for a degree college in the Gund area.
In response, the Chief Secretary assured the Chairman of Civil Society Gund that all fundamental issues affecting the people would be given top priority and resolved accordingly.
