A cop was killed while as a CRPF Trooper was injured in a terrorist attack at Pinglana area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
In a tweet, Kashmir Zone Police informed, “#Terrorists fired upon joint naka party of CRPF & Police at Pinglana, #Pulwama. In this #terror attack, 01 Police personnel got #martyred & 01 CRPF personnel got injured. Reinforcement sent. Area being #cordoned. Further details shall follow.”
Meanwhile, A police spokesman in a statement said, ” At about 3:00 pm terrorists fired upon a joint party of Police/CRPF in Pinglena area of Pulwama in which police personnel Javid Ahmad Dar attained martyrdom and a CRPF personnel got injured. The injured has been immediately evacuated to hospital for the treatment of his injuries. Senior police officers alongwith reinforcement reached at the terror crime spot.”
“We pay our rich tributes to the martyr for his supreme sacrifices made in the line of duty. We standby the family of the martyr at this crucial juncture and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured personnel”, he said.
