Srinagar, August 25: Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday attended the “Empowering Communities – Welfare for All” programme at SKICC, Srinagar.
In a post on X, Office of CM wrote, “Chief Minister attended the “Empowering Communities – Welfare for All” programme at SKICC, Srinagar.He inaugurated the exhibition, felicitated achievers, sanctioned loans for women & disadvantaged groups, and handed over prosthetic aids and scooties to PwDs.”
“Chief Minister highlighted Government’s shift from charity to rights-based welfare and key initiatives like Enhanced marriage assistance for EWS girls, Pension hike for over 10 lakh beneficiaries, Free public transport for women, upgradation of 500 Anganwadi Centres into Saksham Centres & Bal Vidyalayas, and new facilities like Shakti Sadans & Vatsalya Sadans.”he added.
“He reiterated Government’s commitment to inclusive growth, social justice & empowerment of marginalized communities across J&K,”the post reads.
