Children Hospital Bemina to be fully operational from Sep 26: Officials

Srinagar, Sep 22: The authorities at the government children hospital in Bemina Srinagar on Thursday said that the 500-bedded Children’s Hospital in the Bemina area of Srinagar is all ready to be made fully operational from September 26 next week.
 
In a communication issued by the children’s hospital Bemina addressed to the Principal Government Medical College Srinagar, it read that they feel elated to convey starting of pediatric facilities at Children Hospital Bemina on 26 Sep 2022 Monday.
 
Meanwhile, an official told Rising Kashmir that machinery and other equipment are being shifted to the hospital and will be made functional from Monday.
 
“The process of installation of machinery and equipment is on, and a maximum of has been installed and from Monday all the facilities will be made operational including the admissions”, he said.
 
According to the communication, OPD/ Admissions at GB Pant Hospital Sonwar will be closed from Monday at 10 AM, and admission of patients will start at Children’s hospital Bemina.
 
Pertinently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah last year remotely inaugurated the 500-bed pediatric hospital in Bemina Srinagar from SKICC in Srinagar.
 
The 500 bedded pediatric hospital in Bemina Srinagar has come up at an estimated cost of Rs 115 Crore after the Administrative Council (AC) in July last year under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, approved it’s construction.
