Srinagar, Oct 21: Chairman/CEC,LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Jaffer Akhoon along with Member of Parliament Ladakh, Mohmad Haneefa, Former Minister of Jammu & Kashmir and Additional General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Qamar Ali Akhoon, and Secretary of JKNC Unit Kargil, Zakir Hussain attended the oath-taking ceremony of Omar Abdullah on October 16, who was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The ceremony, held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, was presided over by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who administered the oath to Omar Abdullah.
Dr Jaffer and others extended their heartfelt congratulations to Omar Abdullah on his role as Chief Minister.
They also conveyed his best wishes to Dr. Farooq Abdullah, new Deputy CM, Surinder Choudhary,Sakina (Itoo), Javed Dar, Satish Sharma, and all the newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly from the JKNC.
In his remarks, Dr. Jaffer expressed optimism that the leadership under Omar Abdullah will further strengthen the bonds between Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir, focusing on development, governance, and regional harmony.
