Jammu, Jul 07: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir president, Sat Sharma, on Monday called for further strengthening the party’s grassroots network to ensure that the benefits of various government schemes reach the last mile. He urged all party functionaries to intensify their outreach activities at the booth and ward levels, engaging with the public directly and addressing local concerns effectively.Sharma was chairing an important organisational meeting at the party headquarters here to review the ongoing organisational activities and plan future programmes with a focus on enhancing party presence at the grassroots level across Jammu and Kashmir, the party said in a statement issued here.Prominent leaders present during the meeting included BJP General Secretary Adv Vibodh Gupta, DDC Chairperson Bharat Bhushan, former minister Priya Sethi, former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, Morcha General Secretary Reema Padha, and other senior party functionaries. In his address, the BJP leader highlighted the importance of organisational discipline and ground-level coordination. He reviewed the implementation of various ongoing BJP programmes in different districts and called for regular feedback from mandal and booth-level committees. “The success of the BJP lies in its ability to connect with people at the village, panchayat, and urban ward levels through continuous and meaningful engagement,” he said. The meeting also discussed preparations for the upcoming party programmes, including public awareness campaigns and outreach initiatives focused on youth, women, farmers, and marginalised communities. Special emphasis was laid on holding programmes that highlight the achievements of the Modi government and its impact on the lives of common people in Jammu and Kashmir.
