Srinagar, Aug 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir General Secretary (Organisation), Ashok Koul, on Thursday said the party has succeeded in gaining the trust and respectable support of the people across Kashmir. He called for strengthening the party in Anantnag and Shopian districts.Addressing meetings of the office bearers of both districts here, Koul said that while the decisive and people-centric governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been appreciated across all quarters, it is the prime responsibility of the party’s office bearers to ensure that the benefits of these public-oriented schemes reach the actual needy population, even in the remotest parts of the region. He emphasised the responsibility of party leaders to acquaint themselves with the policies and ideology of the BJP and to convey the same effectively to the public.J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan, Secretaries Mudasir Wani and Arif Raja, District President Anantnag Rakesh Koul, and District President Shopian Raja Waseem Kundalan, along with the entire district teams, attended the meeting, the party said in a statement issued here.Anwar Khan urged party leaders to devote as much time as possible to work for the people and the organisation, noting that their actions will speak louder than words in the eyes of the masses. He asked them to remain connected with the people at the grassroots level.Rakesh Koul and Raja Waseem Kundalan assured the senior leadership that the district units will leave no stone unturned in reaching out to the people. They expressed confidence that more and more individuals will join hands with the party to contribute to nation-building.
