Budgam, Aug 09: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) J&K Branch organized an educational exposure visit for students from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Chanapora and Kendriya Vidyalaya BSF Humhama Srinagar on Friday.
The students visited the Doodh Ganga Food and Beverages manufacturing plant located at Budgam, Kashmir. The tour was led by resource person Uzair Qadri and Umar Mukhtar, the Consultant for Promotion of Standards BIS, who accompanied and guided the students throughout the visit.
Upon arrival, the plant staff warmly welcomed the students and prepared them for a comprehensive tour of the facility. During the visit, the students observed the intricate machinery and latest technology used in the production of mineral water. They were taken through various stages of the manufacturing process, including source selection, water treatment, filtration, bottling and packaging, and quality control.
The plant’s experts provided detailed explanations at each stage and answered the students’ questions, offering them a practical understanding of the manufacturing processes. This hands-on experience allowed the students to connect their theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
The visit to the plant offered the students a unique insight into the industry, enhancing their learning experience and broadening their perspectives on the production of mineral water.
