Srinagar, May 30: A devastating incident unfolded on Tuesday evening in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar, leaving residents stunned. A 45-year-old man, identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat and a resident of Mominabad Batamaloo, fell victim to a brutal stabbing that claimed his life.
The injured victim was immediately rushed to JVC Srinagar in critical condition. Tragically, the medical team declared him dead upon his arrival at the hospital.
According to officials, the appalling incident took place near Dar Iron traders at the bypass in Batamaloo, where Aijaz Ahmed Bhat was fatally attacked by an unidentified individual. Swiftly responding to the scene, the Srinagar Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Batamaloo Police Station.
