Baramulla Police solves theft case in Pattan within 48 hours

Two Arrested, Property worth ₹5 Lakh recovered

Baramulla Police have swiftly solved a theft case reported in Pattan, arresting two individuals and recovering stolen property worth ₹5 lakh within 48 hours.

On 03-06-2025, Police Station Pattan received a complaint from Mohammad Amin Dar son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar resident of Sumbal, a subcontractor with Lumino Industries Ltd, regarding the theft of Dog conductor (wire) from the Mamoosa work site during the night of 02/03 June.

FIR No. 99/2025 under section 303(2) BNS was registered and investigation was promptly initiated. Using technical and human intelligence, the vehicles used in the crime was identified. Interrogation of the suspects led to the arrest of Shabir Ahmad Tabardar son of Ali Mohammad Tabardar resident of Singhpora and Umer Nabi Khanday son of Gh. Nabi Khanday resident of Zangam.Based on their disclosure, the stolen wire was recovered and the vehicles used in the theft was seized.Further investigation is ongoing.

Baramulla Police reiterates its commitment to fighting crime and urges the public to report any suspicious activity.
