Baramulla Police arrests 62 drug peddlers & attaches properties/ vehicles worth 1.1 Crs during first two months of 2024

Continuing its action against drug menace, Police have registered 39 cases under NDPS act, arrested 62 drug peddlers which include 7 hard-core drug peddlers who have been booked under PIT NDPS & attached properties/ vehicles which includes 3 residential house & 1 shopping complex, 2- i20 cars & 1- Scooty belonging to drug peddlers worth 1.1 Crores in Baramulla district during the months of January & February-2024.  

Police have also recovered contraband & psychotropic substances worth 35.02 lacs (value of contraband in black market).
