Srinagar, Jul 31: Apni Party on Thursday said several people joined the party at its headquarters here. The new entrants, according to a statement issued here, included Irfan Kandil, Mohammad Sadiq, Alam Khan, Mohammad Ali and others—all from the main town of Baramulla. The event was organised by Shafat Qazmi.Prominent party leaders, including Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Youth Wing President and Spokesperson Yawar Mir, District President Bandipora Shafat Qazmi, and others, extended a warm welcome to the new members. Party’s District Vice President Shabir Lone, Ishtiyaq Khan and Mustakeem were also present on this occasion.Speaking on the occasion, Mir said, “I wholeheartedly welcome you all to this party, and I assure you that it will provide you with ample opportunities to serve the people in your respective areas.” “Apni Party is working for the peace, prosperity, and development of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the economic and political empowerment of its people. We are committed to continuing our efforts toward this goal,” he added.Meanwhile, former legislator and Apni Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir has extended his condolences on the passing of Mohammed Aslam Mir, a widely respected Sufi (mystic) figure and an authority on Islamic jurisprudence. Mohammed Aslam Mir was also a relative of Rafi Ahmad Mir.In his condolence message, Mir said, “Mohammed Aslam Mir Sahib was a noble soul who was widely respected in society for his contributions. He was known for his compassion, kindness, and efforts to foster unity among people.” He prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the pain of this irreparable loss.Meanwhile, Rafi Mir led a delegation to visit the grieving family of Basharat Shah, a resident of Sheikhpora Sallar, to offer condolences. Basharat Shah tragically passed away on Wednesday after a tree fell on him. During the condolence visit, Mir was accompanied by Advocate Imaad, Gowhar Hussain, Showkat Ahmad, and others. They met the bereaved family and expressed their sympathies over the tragic loss.
