Jammu, Jan 19: Apni Party provincial president for Jammu, Manjit Singh on Sunday led a delegation of party leaders to Budhaal village in Rajouri, where at least 16 people, mostly children, have died from an unknown illness over the past several weeks.
According to a press release issued here, on the directions of party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, several senior party leaders visited the affected village and met with the bereaved families. They extended their heartfelt condolences.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh said the Apni Party stands in complete and unwavering solidarity with the families who have lost their loved ones to this mysterious disease. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and for strength and patience for the bereaved families to endure their irreparable losses.
The Party Party urged the government to provide immediate relief and adequate compensation to the affected families.
