Jammu, Mar 19: For her splendid display of bowling skills in the Women’s U-15 One-Day Trophy this season, right-arm medium pacer, Ananya Dogra of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), has been selected by the All-India Junior Selection Committee for the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI’S) prestigious High-Performance Camp to be held at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.
Ananya, has taken 10 wickets in the five Women’s U-15 One-Day Trophy league matches, with 4/20 in 6 overs against formidable Karnataka as her best.
Ananya, who bowls military medium stuff, has the distinction of being deceptive with her variations and has tremendous control on her line and length, helping her to take wickets of better players against stronger oppositions.
Ranked 17th in All India Rankings, Ananya has an impressive economy rate of 2.68.
With her brilliance in bowling and an extraordinary show of skills by her other team mates, Jammu and Kashmir U-15 Women’s One-Day Team, created history by qualifying for the knockout stage, wherein rain played spoilsport and J&K were unfortunately knocked out without a ball being bowled.

“I am highly thankful to the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association for providing fantastic facilities to all the cricketers at home. I owe my success to JKCA. Now, getting the Indian Selectors’ nod has put more responsibility on my shoulders. I will leave no stone unturned in coping up with the situations in future,” Ananya maintained.

Describing Ananya as a future prospect, the Sub Committee members of JKCA including Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration, Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development and Sunil Sethi, Member Legal Affairs JKCA, have congratulated the youngster for this achievement.
