Anantnag police organise debate on Nasha Mukti Abhiyan

Anantnag, Aug 21: As part of its ongoing commitment to tackle Drug Abuse in society, Anantnag Police organised a Debate on Nasha Mukht Abiyan at Govt Degree College Bijbehara under Civic Action Programme.
According to a statement issued here, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various schools, who expressed their views both for and against the motion. The primary objective of the debate was to raise awareness about the growing issue of Narcotic abuse and the importance of a drug-free society especially among youth.
The event commenced with an inaugural speech emphasizing the need for educational institutions to take active roles in spreading awareness about drug addiction and its harmful consequences.
A panel of esteemed judges evaluated the participating students and accordingly Faiqa Fayaz,Musaib Rayees and Aayat Alim were felicitated with  Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the Debate Competition.
In the concluding remarks, the Principal praised the efforts of the students and faculty members in organizing the event in collaboration with District Police Anantnag and stressed the importance of such initiatives.The event concluded with a vote of thanks given by SDPO Bijbehara namely DySP Sheikh Mudasir.
