Anantnag, July 04: Amarnath Yatra is a shining example of unity as Hindu devotees embark on their pilgrimage to the sacred Amarnath Cave, with the unwavering support and hospitality of their Muslim hosts and service providers.
As the holy pilgrimage began, thousands of devotees from various parts of India flocked to the challenging terrain surrounding the Amarnath Cave.
Braving treacherous paths and inclement weather, the devotees were greeted by the local Muslim community, who opened their hearts and services to provide much-needed assistance, comfort, and support. These acts of generosity have turned the Amarnath Yatra into an embodiment of India’s multicultural fabric.
Among the unsung heroes of this grand event are devoted individuals like Abdul Hameed Magray and Abdul Rashid, who have been providing tent services to Amarnath Yatra pilgrims for years, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the arduous journey. Their unwavering dedication and commitment have earned them the respect and admiration of countless devotees.
Abdul Hameed Magray, a stalwart of the Amarnath Yatra, has been extending his services as a tent provider since 1995. Encampments services provided by him become synonymous with reliability and excellence, offering weary pilgrims a respite from the rugged terrain and inclement weather.
With his experience spanning almost three decades, Magray’s tents have become a symbol of reassurance for the devout.
Abdul hameed Magray expressed his delight in contributing to the religious journey of the Hindu pilgrims. “Our faith teaches us to embrace all humanity, irrespective of their religion. We feel privileged to assist the devotees during their arduous pilgrimage. It is a way for us to express our devotion to the concept of universal brotherhood,” Magray said.
“The Amarnath Yatra is a blessing for us. It not only brings us prosperity but also strengthens the bond between different communities. We take immense pride in hosting the pilgrims and ensuring their needs are met with utmost care and dedication,” he said.
Abdul Rashid, another pillar of support for the Yatra, has been actively engaged in providing tent services for the past 18 years. His meticulous attention to detail and compassionate approach has endeared him to the devotees who have had the privilege of availing his services.
While talking to Rising Kashmir, Rashid said, “I see the yatra as an opportunity to serve the divine in every soul that arrives here. Religion should never divide us; instead, it should unite us in our shared humanity.”
He said that it fills his heart with joy to witness the devotees’ devotion and to contribute to their spiritual journey. This yatra not only strengthens our bond but also showcases the true spirit of Kashmir.
Rawad Bhatta , a devotee said ,”Abdul Hameed and Abdul Rashid are the epitome of true brotherhood. Their service reminds us that religion should never divide us, but rather bring us closer.”
Arvind , a devotee from Rajisthan said, “I feel blessed to be part of this sacred pilgrimage and to witness the spirit of brotherhood among the locals,” adding that the warm hospitality and generosity extended by the Muslim hosts have truly touched my heart. It’s an experience that transcends religious boundaries.
While sharing his heartfelt appreciation for the assistance he received from the Muslim hosts , “The love and care shown by the local Muslim community have touched me deeply. They treat us like their own family, and it strengthens my faith in the power of unity and religious tolerance,” he said.
Mishra, another devotee from Rajasthan, said that the Amarnath Yatra is a testament to the fact that India’s religious and cultural diversity can be a powerful force for societal integration and harmony. It sends a resounding message that peace and unity can prevail when people embrace the common values of love, compassion, and understanding.
As the Amarnath Yatra continues, the bond between the Hindu devotees and their Muslim hosts grows stronger with each passing day. Their collective journey symbolizes the triumph of humanity over religious differences and reinforces the belief that India’s rich tapestry of traditions can be woven into a harmonious fabric of coexistence.
