Accessible, responsive administration top priority: DC Pulwama

Pulwama, Ja 18: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary Wednesday conducted an Awami/ Public Darbar at Soinad Aripal Tral to listen and speedily redress the grievances of the people of the district
The Darbar witnessed an overwhelming response, wherein a large number of people from the given area and adjoining villages apprised the DDC of their issues, grievances and demands.
The DDC spent the whole day at Soinad Tral and redressed hundreds of grievances on the spot.
He gave a patient hearing to the grievances raised and assured quality disposal of genuine issues in a time-bound manner. He also gave on-the-spot directions for the redressal of many issues of urgent nature as per the competence of concerned departments.
The DDC said that every possible effort is being made to elevate the living standard of the tribal people of the district. He stressed the people of the tribal area, particularly the young students, to keep their focus on education to achieve their dreams in life.
He further said that the Government is committed to mitigate the problems faced by people and the aim of conducting the public durbars is to address grievances of people at their door steps.
The DDC added that District Administration is ensuring to provide all facilities to the people at their doorsteps and in this regard necessary instructions have been already given to line departments.
Choudhary was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral S.A Raina, Tehsildar Aripal, BDO Aripal and other District Officers.
While interacting with the general public, DDC said that District Administration has already embarked on the wagon of public outreach programmes with an unflinching commitment. He expressed his desire that the public should repose faith in Govt Institutions and avail the benefits of various flagship programmes that Govt has put at the disposal of the general public. He added that his administration is committed towards good governance and accessibility of public services.
On the occasion, DDC appealed to people to become active participants so that the issues of daily importance are redressed in the minimum possible time.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to exhort for the completion of ongoing projects, roads and bridges. He urged officers to complete the work within the shortest possible time.
