Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kupwara have recovered an abducted woman and arrested the accused person involved in the commission of crime.
A Police spokesperson said, “On 13/10/2024, Police Post Kalaroos received a written complaint from one person that his daughter (name withheld) has been missing from 12th October 2024. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 245/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Kupwara and investigation was set into motion.”
“During the investigation, it was revealed that she has been kidnapped by one person namely Fazal u Rehman War son of Abdul Haq War resident of Doniwari Dangiwah, Rafiabad. Acting swiftly, the woman was recovered from the possession of the accused person, who was arrested on the spot. After completion of all medico-legal norms, the woman was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the matter is going on”, he said.
