Aarifeen School of Excellence Baramulla shines in District Wushu Championship 2023

Baramulla, Sep 06: Aarifeen School of Excellence Baramulla (ASE) students exhibited exceptional prowess in the recently concluded Inter District Wushu Championship 2023, clinching an impressive total of 6 medals.
The prestigious event, organized by the District Baramulla Wushu Association, took place at Chandiloora, Tangmarg Baramulla.
With schools from across district Baramulla vying for victory in various categories, ASE stood out with a remarkable performance.
The students of ASE showcased their talent and determination, securing a total of 2 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medals.
Commending the participants’ enthusiasm, Tabassum Akhtar , General Secretary District Wushu Association, expressed her delight and affirmed that more such sporting events would be held in the coming months for the betterment of the student community.
The success of ASE at the championship owes much to the relentless training provided by the school’s Physical Education Department. 
Under the guidance of Yasmeena Akhter and Jamsheeda Bashir, the students were nurtured and prepared for the competition with great care and dedication.
Asma Sadiq, Coordinator of Aarifeen School of Excellence Baramulla, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the victorious students.
Emphasizing the significance of sports in education, she highlighted how discipline instilled through sports can pave the way for the children’s success in life.
“In line with the new National Education Policy’s emphasis on sports and skill development, we at ASE encourage our students to set ambitious goals and work hard to achieve them,” said Asma Sadiq.
“Our comprehensive Physical Education Department strives to groom the ASEIANS from an early age, fostering their potential to compete at national and international levels and bring laurels to the state and nation.”
The closing ceremony of the District Wushu Championship 2023 commenced with a breathtaking display of traditional Chinese cultural elements, resonating with the profound history and heritage of Wushu.
More than 300 athletes from different schools and clubs across from district Baramulla participated in the event. 
SDM Gulmarg Syed Altaf Ahmad was the chief guest. He expressed gratitude to the participants, coaches, organizers, and volunteers for their tireless efforts in making the event a resounding success.
