Jammu, Dec 24: Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday blamed Lieutenant Governor Administration of Jammu and Kashmir for making a mess out of protest of special package and reserve category employees and said no one is serious about their woes while Bhartiya Janta Party is merely be fooling people by issuing false statements and framing committees which have no realistic base.
Aam Aadmi Party’s state spokesperson and Media Coordination Committee member Advocate Appu Singh issued these statements while addressing a Press Conference in Jammu to highlight the grievance of reserve category as well as special package employees who have been on protest for months and have been cornered by the Government with best possible measures.
“Issue of these employees should have been taken as a humanitarian issue but unfortunately no one paid any concern in this aspect and all the successive governments and political parties have made it a political issue and election stunt.” said Appu Singh.
“If you go through the statements of successive governments and political parties issued in recent years for these employees and especially the migrants it will give a feel that issue has been resolved completely but the situation is standing still and unfortunately these political parties are still trying to continue it as a political issue.” Advocate Singh said.
“We (AAP) have always and are still demanding that the issue of these employees should be treated as a humanitarian issue but unfortunately Jammu and Kashmir LG Administration and ruling BJP is further creating a mess out of the issue instead of efforts for solving it.” she added.
She further said that if the grievances of these employees have no meaning for LG administration then for what reason a committee was framed in the month of October to look into their grievances.
Advocate Appu Singh from Aam Aadmi Party further hit at Bhartiya Janta Party and said that BJP President Ravinder Raina recently issued a statement that the matter of these employees will be discussed with senior leaders of party but it is astonishing that after months long agitation of these employees BJP chief is only going to take up the matter with senior leaders.
“BJP had constituted a committee under the leadership of former deputy chief minister but the working of this committee is still a mystery and there are no outcomes and now Ravinder Raina is going to take up the matter with senior leaders.” she said adding that all these statements are only meant to befool people and employees.
Reiterating AAP’s support towards genuine grievances of these employees, Appu Singh said that Jammu and Kashmir Government should talk to these employees, listen to their grievances and find a humanitarian solution besides immediate release of their salaries and the Lieutenant Governor should also refrain from issuing statements which have a wider impact on the system.
