Jammu, Jan 10: More than 50 suspects have been detained  for questioning for helping and sheltering the terrorists who killed seven innocent civilians in Dhangri village of Rajouri district recently
“The number of suspects detained for questioning so far for helping and sheltering the terrorists has gone way beyond 50, the SSP Rajouri, Mohd Aslam told Rising Kashmir adding, “We have got some very important clues and are now linking sequence and chain of events like providing of logistics and other support to the terrorists like topography and other information”.
The SSP, however, said no formal arrest has been made in the case so far, adding, the detention of some more suspects can not be ruled out”.
Meanwhile, sources said a close acquaintance of Deepak, who was slain by the terrorists, has also been detained by the authorities as one of the suspects.
‘’We are looking into his connections and Call Detail Records (CDRs) to see if he was involved in the attack in any way,’’ the SSP stated.
This person is also a resident of Dhangri village native and well-known to Deepak. On January 1, he took  a lift from Deepak,  according to sources, who also stated that “the moment Deepak stopped his vehicle and started heading for his home, he was attacked  by the terrorists.”  However, this suspect fled the scene and was not harmed by the terrorists,” they claimed.
As per official sources revealed  that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is almost set to take over the ongoing investigation of the barbaric terrorist attack in Dhangri village of Rajouri District in which seven  innocent civilians were killed by the terrorists on January 1 and2..
“The agencies probing the Dhangri terror attack are preparing a detailed case report regarding vital information obtained during questioning of the detained suspects,” official sources informed Rising Kashmir, adding, “Very soon, the NIA is most likely to take over the investigation and this detailed probe report will be handed over to the central agency”.
The people of Rajouri have also been demanding NIA probe into the terror attack since the past some days after the attack.
Pertinently, Rising Kashmir had exclusively reported that the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has been closely monitoring the ongoing probe into the Dhangri terror attack.
It has also been exclusively reported by the Rising Kashmir that the terrorists, who killed innocent civilians in Dhangri village of Rajouri District were being instructed from across the border.
