Rajouri, Oct 08: Two students of Nari-Niketan Rajouri brought laurels to the institute after getting selected for the post of constable in J&K Police. These students were admitted in the Nari-Niketan Rajouri in the Year 2011 and completed their studies, while staying in the institute.
Punam Devi completed her Graduation and thereafter also got diploma in Computer operator and programming Assistant & Fashion designing. Similarly, Sonia Kousser, hailing from a far-flung village of district Rajouri completed her graduation while staying in the Nari-Niketan. Further, the said candidate completed a two-year diploma in Draftsmen (Civil), One Year diploma in computer software and one year diploma in tourism from BGSBU, Rajouri.
Both the students expressed gratitude to the Social Welfare department for providing them the best possible facilities and guidance that led to their selection in the Jammu & Kashmir Police. They expressed their happiness for joining the Police force with the commitment to work hard in future.
Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department, Sheetal Nanda, while congratulating the selected candidates said that this shall act as an inspiration for other candidates staying in Bal Ashrams and Nari Niketans.
Vivek Sharma, Director General, Social Welfare Department Jammu said that an enabling environment is being created in all the institutions of the department to pave the way for overall development of the enrolled students. More facilities for the welfare of the students are in offing and shall be made available to the enrolled students in due course of time.
District Social Welfare officer, Rajouri, Wakeel Ahmad Bhat and Superintendent Nari Niketan Rajouri, Nidhi Sharma said that it became possible only due to wholehearted support provided by the higher ups.
