J&K Dogras defeated Indore Rajwadas in J&K T20 Big-Man Cup

Jammu, Sep 27: J&K Dogras defeated Indore Rajwadas in J&K T20 Big Man Day/Night One Day Cricket Cup by 65 runs at MA Stadium Cricket Jammu, which was organized jointly by the Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, J&K Sports Council and Veterans Cricket J&K.
Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Player and the Captain of J&K Dogras was the coordinator of the match whereas the Day/Night match was organized under the guidance of NuzratGul, Secretary Sports Council J&K.
IGP SSB R. Bhumla was the Chief Guest on the occasion who distributed the trophies among runners/ winners in presence of Rajesh Chouhan Former Test Cricketer, SSP Haseeb-ul-Rehman, SSP RK Bhat, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Ashish Singh Secretary Veterans Cricket J&K, VivekSuri and AvinashUttam.
While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest lavished all praise for J&K Police and J&K Sports Council for providing an opportunity to the Indore Rajwadas to play day/night match with J&K Dogras in a beautiful MA Stadium Jammu.
He also appreciated the Secretary Sports Council J&K NuzratGul for providing all available facilities to the participating teams for the smooth and successful conduct of the match.
Rajesh Chouhan Former Test Cricketer also spoke on the occasion and said that MA Cricket Stadium is a very spacious stadium and the big International tournaments Like IPL matches can be conducted in the near future. He also thanked the organizing committee headed by Secretary Sports Council J&K and Rajesh Gill Coordinator for the great hospitality and arrangements during the day/night match.
Earlier, J&K Dogras won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 167 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Ishtiaq top scored with 60 runs while Rajesh Gill (24), Sameer Khajuria (23) and Amit Kumar (18) runs contributed to the total.
From the Indore Rajwadas Rajesh and Sanjay Chobey took wickets each while Dinesh Sharma and Kapil claimed 1 wickets each.
In reply, Indore Rajwadas could not chase the target and managed to score 102 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs thus lost the match by 65 runs.
RajinderBhoomla played a good innings of 39 runs, while Rajesh score 22 runs. From the bowling side AbinashUttam took 4 wickets while Ashish Singh claimed 1 wicket for the team.
Ishtiaq was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant unbeaten 60 runs.
The matches were officiated by Ashok, Sumit and Amit. The post-match proceedings were conducted by VivekSuri while Ashish Singh, AvinashUttam Secretary and Treasurer of Veterans Cricket, J&K were presented with a welcome address and vote of thanks.
