Srinagar, March 03: Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board and senior BJP leader Dr Darakshan Andrabi on Sunday said that people are eagerly waiting to welcome Prime Minister Narendar Modi with open arms
Talking to reporters in Anantnag, Dr. Andrabi said Prime Minister Modi is coming to Kashmir on March 7. “Every Kashmiri wants to give a warm welcome. Not only the party workers are excited but the people are equally excited… Men and women are saying that their son or brother is coming and they want to see him”, she said.
“There is positive vibes among the people regarding PM Modi and his policies. Kashmiris have historically stood with the truth, and post-August 5, 2019, they perceive the end of a dark era that persisted for 35 years,” he said.
On the occasion, a grand felicitation event held at Anantnag by BJP leaders & activists in which Rafiq Wani was honoured for being nominated as Executive Officer J&K Waqf Board for Anantnag district.
Prime Minister NarendraModi is slated to visit the Kashmir Valley on March 7, marking his first visit since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. This visit follows his last trip to Kashmir in February 2019.
On Saturday, senior BJP leaders said that they are expecting over one lakh people to attend the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally at Bakshi Stadium on March 07. BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir spokesman, Altaf Thakur said that over one lakh people are expected to attend the rally. “We are finalizing our preparations and arrangements for the mega event,” he said.
