Anantanag, July 11: A 19-year-old youth from Chhattisgarh died after being hit by a moving train along the Anantnag to Sadura railway section in the Sangeenpora area of this south Kashmir district on Tuesday.
An official told Rising Kashmir that the youth identified as Jugal Khishor, son of Mast Ram of Janjichapa Chhattisgarh, was hit by a train which was plying from Baramulla to Banihal. He said the deceased received fatal injuries and died on the spot.
“The deceased person was mentally unsound as verified on the spot by his legal heirs,” he said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the accident.
