Shab-e-Meraj, Shivratri preparations reviewed in Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 04: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Saturday chaired a meeting of Officers at Mini-Secretariat, here to review the preparations put in place for upcoming Shab-e- Mehraj and Maha- Shivratri-2023 festivals in the district.
The meeting discussed threadbare preparations to be made for the celebrations of the Shab i Mehraj and Maha-Shivratri and responsibilities assigned to different departments.
The DC asked the concerned departments to take up all necessary measures for the smooth celebrations of Shab e Meraj functions at Aham Sharief Bandipora besides all other places across the district.
He also directed the concerned Officers to ensure proper arrangements for Celebrations of Maha-Shivratri across the district.
He directed the concerned departments to put all the necessary arrangements in place for the celebrations of religious festivals. He directed the PDD department to install lights and decorate the holy places so that they wear a festive look.
The DC asked the District heads of different departments to ensure proper arrangements of electricity, water supply, proper transport plan, lighting and other necessary measures.
Dr. Owais stressed on advance arrangements for both the religious events so that devotees do not face any difficulty.
The meeting was attended by District Nodal Officer Coordination Mohd Ashraf Hakak, ASP Bandipora Ashiq Hussain Tak, Executive Engineers of various departments, Representatives of Waqf Board and Kashmiri Pandit Communities besides other concerned.
