Baramulla, Jan 12: The Wildlife Department has successfully captured leopard alive in the Sharakwara village of the Wagoora tehsil in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday morning.
Abdul Qayoom Khan, Block Officer from the Wild Life Control Room Baramulla, told the Rising Kashmir that the leopard which had been roaming for the last eight days in the Sharakwara village has been successfully captured alive.
“We have installed the cage in the village. The leopard was entered into the cage on Friday early morning. The leopard has been sent to Dachigam National Park Srinagar,” Khan said.
He said that the people should follow the advisory that the wildlife department has issued from time to time. in case any wildlife is seen in any part of the Baramulla district. They should contact us. So that we can capture these wildlife animals.
