Jammu, Oct 28: In its ongoing efforts to uplift local communities, the 13 Bn SSB Dignibal organized a series of impactful events, including a Community Welfare Programme, Pre-Recruitment Awareness Programme, and Medical & Veterinary Civic Action Programme under its Civic Action Programme initiative.
The events, held on October 28th at Bakura village, were graced by esteemed guests including H.B.K Singh, DIG SSB SHQ Srinagar, Rohitasva, Commandant 10th Bn, Abdul Majid War, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Bakura, and other local dignitaries. Villagers from Bakura, Warpoh, and Dignibal actively participated in the programme.
During the event, Dy. Commandant Virender Singh Choudhary welcomed the attendees and highlighted the initiatives undertaken by 13 Bn SSB Dignibal. Students from local schools showcased their talents through cultural performances, demonstrating their singing and dancing skills.
A significant highlight of the day was the distribution of two computers, one each to Boys Middle Schools Bakura and Warpoh, fostering technological education in the region. Additionally, a Pre-Recruitment Awareness Programme informed local youth about recruitment processes in central armed police forces, encouraging their active participation in such drives.
Under the supervision of Dr Gourav Misra, Comd (Med.), and Dr (Vety) Riyaz Ahmad from Shuhama Veterinary College, a Medical & Veterinary Civic Action Programme was conducted. This initiative provided medical assistance to citizens and veterinary care for livestock in Dignibal, Shuhama, Warpoh, and Bakura.
Addressing the gathering, H.B.K Singh, DIG SSB, commended the efforts of 13 Bn SSB in serving the local populace. He emphasized the significance of the distributed computers in enhancing students’ knowledge and technological skills. He reiterated 13 Bn SSB’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the local people.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Som Nath, Commanding Officer of 13 Bn SSB, expressing gratitude to all attendees and specifically acknowledging the presence of the Chief Guest, H.B.K Singh, DIG SSB. He assured everyone of 13 Bn SSB’s continued dedication to serving the community with the core values of “Service, Security, and Brotherhood”.
