Devotees gather at Sharda Mata Mandir Kaloosa for two-day Hawan Pooja

Bandipora, July 10: A two-day Hawan Pooja was held at the Sharda Mata Mandir in Kaloosa area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, drawing devotees and officials together in an atmosphere of spiritual devotion and community harmony.The religious event began on the afternoon of July 9 and continued till the evening, starting at 2 PM and concluding around 11 PM. Nearly 50 worshippers participated in the first day’s rituals. On July 10, the pooja resumed early in the morning at 6 AM and went on till 1 PM, with around 80 devotees attending. Over both days, approximately 130 worshippers offered prayers at the revered temple.Renowned local priest Kamal Ji led the rituals, offering prayers for peace, harmony, and the well-being of all. The temple grounds echoed with devotional chants as the devotees took part in the traditional offerings and sacred rituals, reflecting the strong spiritual and cultural traditions of the area.In a notable gesture of communal harmony and public participation, several district officials attended the event, including SSP Bandipora, DySP Headquarters Bandipora, DySP DAR Bandipora, and SHO Bandipora. Their presence was warmly welcomed by the devotees and organizers.The event concluded peacefully with worshippers expressing gratitude for the smooth conduct of the pooja and for the opportunity to connect with their faith at the sacred site. Organizers said the ceremony also helped reinforce the importance of preserving spiritual traditions and maintaining communal unity in the region.The Sharda Mata Mandir in Kaloosa is known for its religious significance among devotees across Bandipora and has long been a symbol of shared cultural heritage.
