Jammu, May 04: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia on Sunday strongly condemned the “coordinated disinformation campaign” launched by Pakistan-based media outlets and proxy social media handles, saying the campaign aims to discredit senior Indian Armed Forces officers in the wake of India’s resolve to punish the perpetrators of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
In a statement issued here, Jasrotia debunked false narratives, saying these attempts have been comprehensively debunked by official records and authoritative fact-checks. “This exposes Islamabad’s habitual resort to fake narratives whenever confronted with the prospect of decisive Indian action,” he said.
The BJP leader said, “Pakistan’s consistent pattern of spreading disinformation and propaganda is aimed at deflecting attention from its own wrongdoings. Such tactics will not deter India from taking decisive action against terrorism.”
Jasrotia said India’s resolve to punish the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack remains unwavering, and the country’s armed forces will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure national security.
Saluting security forces, the former minister said the nation’s security forces are indeed the epitome of bravery and sacrifice. “They have consistently demonstrated their unwavering commitment to defending Mother India, often putting their lives on the line with a smile,” he said.
Expressing gratitude, Jasrotia said, “The nation is forever grateful for the sacrifices made by our security forces. Their selfless service and bravery inspire a sense of pride and admiration in the hearts of every Indian. Our security forces stand tall as the defenders of the nation, protecting its sovereignty and integrity. Their courage and dedication are a beacon of hope and security for the country and its citizens.”
“We pay tribute to the martyrs who have laid down their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their memory will continue to inspire future generations,” the MLA added.
